Pens to Face Sens in NHL Playoffs

The Pittsburgh Penguins will begin their playoff march tonight, when they lace up the skates against the Ottawa Senators.

Sidney Crosby and Evgeni Malkin will lead the way for the Pens.  Malkin is second in the league in total points (106) and fourth in goals scored (47).  Sidney Crosby, who was injured for part of the season, has 72 points on the season.  Ty Conklin, filling in for Marc-Andre Fleury this season, is second in the league in saves percentage.

Last season, the Senators ousted the Penguins in 5 games in the playoffs, welcoming the young Pens to the party.  However, the Pens are the favorite this year, coming into the playoffs as the Atlantic Division Champion, and many are picking them to advance out of the east.  Ottawa comes in as the 7 seed.

“Mentally, with the injury, it was good and bad. I had two months (off). It was awful. But at the same time I think I’m as hungry as I could be.” said Sidney Crosby.

Tonight the game will be televised on FSN Pittsburgh at 7:00
