Randy Johnson To Make Start

Randy Johnson will make his return to the Arizona Diamondbacks tonight against the San Fransisco Giants.

The five time Cy Young Award winner has 284 career wins, only 16 away from the 300 mark.  Injuries have plagued the Big Unit in recent years, with a herniated disk in his back causing this current stint on the DL.  Johnson had surgery to repair his herniated disk for the second time and will try to make a comeback tonight.

Last season Johnson was 4-3 in 10 starts with a 3.81 ERA.

  1. The Big Unit looked solid. A little shaky in the walks category, but had those bad errors not hurt him, he would have likley locked up a ‘W’ in his season debut. He’ll get better, but more importantly he needs to just stay healthy and show up to 20 starts over the course of the season.
